Search and Rescue Card

Colorado residents and visitors are well served by dedicated volunteer search and rescue teams, but mission costs are often in the thousands of dollars. By purchasing a CORSAR card you are contributing to the Search and Rescue Fund, which will reimburse these teams for costs incurred in your search and rescue. Funds remaining at the end of the year are used to help pay for training and equipment for these teams. Anyone with a current hunting/fishing license, or boat, snowmobile, ATV registration is already covered by the fund.

Telluride Fire Protection District:

The formation of the Telluride Fire Protection District, in 1967, created two volunteer fire services as well as EMS. With the addition of these two departments, the TFPD has diligently provided the citizens of the District the highest quality fire suppression and extinguishment, emergency medical life support, fire prevention, life safety and rescue services in a responsible, yet cost effective manner. Covering 390 square miles of private property, BLM and Forest Service lands, from the county lines at the top of Dallas Divide, Lizard Head Pass, Bridal Veil Falls, and to Specie Creek Road to the west TFPD continues to meet the growing needs of our citizens. TFPD maintains strong academic and hands on training for our volunteer firefighters and EMT's, as well as a comprehensive public fire prevention educational program. Contact 970-728-3801
